You must have weird olives in the states...

The jacket is light green. Pictures were taken in front of a window with a lot of natural light. It’s hard to get the color right in post. Here’s another pic at home under fluorescent light.

I was not going to post this but in celebration of American olives, here are some Asian ones. The same vibe on the same day, browns and olives.

Personally, I like the cravat. This is the only one I've ever seen worn in real life. It looks great with the outfit.

After a day playing with a more casual look, I am back to being suited up. The weather in NYC is pleasant, a mix of sun and clouds, and a bit warmer than expected for mid-October, so a summer weight suit is apropos of the meteorology. I was remarking on another forum, on the subject of slip on shoes and suits, that I tend to favor slip on shoes with suit for which the trouser legs have been heavily tapered, which is very much the case with today's suit, as I find that lace-ups can look a bit hefty against such a slim trouser leg. Just my take on the subject . . .

I am also giving today's shoes more of a test run - they're new, and haven't been worn much outside of my apartment, so they'll be getting better broken in this afternoon. We shall see if my feet survive the ordeal . . .

Suit - Paul Stuart/Phineas Cole
Shirt & tie - Brooks Brothers
Braces - Lewin
Cufflinks - Saks Fifth Avenue
Pocket square - Harvie & Hudson
Shoes - Gaziano & Girling

Today’s outfit.. when I was designing new regimental ties for Amidé Hadelin last year I knew I just had to do a replica of the first tie my wife ever gave me.. I’d never been able to find a replacement when I needed one at some point. Luckily I had always kept it, and I’m glad I’ve been able to remake it as close to the original colours as possible.

I was soothed by my first Fat Albert sighting in three years. It was out of commission in 2019, then COVID in 2020, and it’s back for this year’s Fleet Week. :)
