Very cool. I had a law school professor in the mid/late 2000's with a 1960-something cherry red convertible Mercedes coupe. Similar to yours, but a shorter wheel base, I think. What a great looking car. I never got to take a ride in it, but it looked awesome. Are you the original owner?
No, I'm the second owner, I think.

The previous iteration of the SL series is the W113 chassis, the so-called Pagoda model, SL280, -230, and -180 (I think. I'm no expert). W113 models in good shape are routinely more than $100K. It's quite a bit smaller and lighter than the R107.

I've not worn a jacket or tie since a week ago yesterday, but this evening, my husband and I celebrated our sixth wedding anniversary, for which we got dressed up, for a dinner at the Leopard at des Artistes, formerly the Cafe Des Artistes, a venerable institution on the Upper West Side of Manhattan.
