What I am wearing today, if photographed and posted, would be a scandal for this forum (polo shirt, shorts, flip-flops), but what I have received in the mail today is much more on point - my custom patinated shoes from Septieme Largeur. I hope that you enjoy . . .

Showed this to the wife. Her first reaction: nice pastel color palette. She asked to see more of your fits. Her main comment: his color coordination is always off-the-chart great, even when I don't like something (like @sugarbutch, she is not a fan of the white loafers). You are a success with the ladies.
I’m glad she enjoys my outfits. I love playing with color and patterns. My wife is one of my biggest inspirations when it comes to clothing and she is a lover of color and patterns as well.

Also, as a young black kid growing up in the South, the role of color and patterns where critical in how we dressed. I wasn’t always able to afford the latest styles, but I certainly studied them extensively. I think my current style is highly influenced by that. Every pair of colorful Jordan’s had to have a matching hat and/or sweatshirt/jersey. The matching was intentional not subtle. I guess I’m trying to mix 80s/90s southern Black streetwear style with Ivy/trad style. It sounds crazy on paper, but I enjoy it.

Everyone said I should wear cream pants with this jacket. Here you go. The pants are just back from the tailor. Fully lined. They drape very well.

I went outside today! These were not my first choice for shoes. I just went to a cafe to get a sandwich quickly. I probably would have worn socks as well.

Bernoulli and I are in contact usually several times a week, and he helped (or, should I say abetted and enabled) me to navigate the Septieme Largeur website.
I have a pair of Jodhpurs in their Green V026 Patina. Great shoes for the price. I communicated with them via mail and talk to the owner who is a really nice guy.

Their old website was terrible. This one is pretty fine honestly.

The influence and how you’ve incorporated it has not gone unnoticed.

Dapper as always. I've noticed that some of your trouser pleats begin directly under the waistline, while others are cutmore traditionally 1-1,5" below. Care to share your thouhts on the difference apart from aesthetics? I've ordered a couple of trousers featuring the former configuration, but haven't received them yet. Any noticeable difference with regards to fit, comfort or anything else?

Almost all my pleated trousers are RTW Polo Ralph Lauren. The pleats all start from the waistline. I have one pair of pleated pants from Uniqlo that start below the waistline. That being said I don’t have much experience with pleats that start below the waistline. For pleats in general, I think the depth of the pleats to be extremely important. I have pleats that range from 2” to 0.5”. I definitely prefer the 2” depth. Also, correct hip circumference is essential for the pleats to not open up too much. Good luck.

Come on @An Acute Style, abandon the loafers for patinated monstrosities. Join us!

But seriously, it was great getting a perspective on your sartorial trajectory.
