I wasn't suggesting that it would solve the problem entirely, just that it would look better than it does now. But yes, you're right, a larger knot and/or tucking in the back blade would surely help.I understand your point but disagree. Even with perfectly balanced back and front blades the tie will appear to be too long with high rise trousers. We see this effect in this thread quite regularly. The solution is to either make a larger knot, or to knot the tie so the front blade is shorter. The back blade can be either tucked into the trousers or not. In all of these
cases the solutions are suboptimal.
