Today's outfit: Pistachio, rose, and the jacket that I pair with everything.

Today we discussed whether Billy Shakes' swan song, with its tropes of sorcery and physical comedy, qualifies as "great" play. Answers varied: many maintained that the play's outward ornaments disqualified it, while others defended the argument that great books can and ought to be enjoyable.

Ars gratia artis? I'm an effete little lad, so I think y'all know where I stand on that matter.

Stay safe. Stay sane. Speak truth to power.

Threads cited:

Items purchased new: Brooks Brothers jacket; Berle trousers; Grady Ervin shirt; R. Hanauer bowtie; Crockett & Jones monkstraps; Tommy Bahama socks.

Items purchased pre-owned from eBay, thrift, & consignment: Braces.

Antique linen pocket square from a friend.

Panama: Goorin Brothers in Charleston

Timex Weekender watch with Smart Turnout watch band.

Glasses and sunglasses: Warby Parker.

At a tea shop called Josephine.

Brooks Brothers Madras jacket, blue PPBD shirt, and argyle socks, Berkley for Eljo's tie, Squarextraordinaire pocket square, Leather Man blue and tan surcingle belt, Orvis trousers, and Allen-Edmonds tan suede shoes.

For fans of "Piece-Of-Person" pictures, a piece-of-a-person with the 2020 version of the book "Love in the Time of Cholera"
by Gabriel García Márquez, tea in the time of COVID-19 picture

Josephine will use tea pots, tea cups, and creamers rather than paper cups whenever things get back to normal again.

Sitting outside on a day it's in the 90's and ash is falling is probably like being in Pompeii on the day things went so horribly wrong.

That's awfully tonal @An Acute Style . I like it, but I find myself longing for a splash of navy/green/burgundy in the form of a knit tie or v neck sweater. The fruit compote on top of the oatmeal, if you will.
