It's good he's embracing the awkwardness of middle-school.

Exactly the same suit (C&tD airforce blue fresco blazersuit) and navy Bengal stripe shirt that I was wearing this time last week, and also with a green tie, but this time a darker green silk knit from Drakes. PS is an unkown vintage silk. This was deliberate because the difference such a simple variation makes is interesting (to me at least). Worn with dark green Mazarin socks and dark brown Carmina brogue boots (it is really foul weather here today, hence the messy hair too...)

Thanks. I recommend it. This is the Minnis Fresco 520 - which is almost SF 'club colours' (along with Slewfoot's tobacco fresco, of course)!

I would actually have loved to see an SF book printed, with some of the more memorable quotes, fits and members. It could be really hilarious.

My word that would be amazing.

Maybe @Manton would like do it with a co-author of some sort?

This is quite good. I don't know that I'd ever have thought to pair brown with blackwatch, but that works really, really well. So well, in fact, that it's giving me some ideas..... -- Thanks for the thumbs yesterday. No full shot today, unfortunately. [IMG]

This jacket needs to be seen again. F'in awesome!
Heldentenor, I feel like this jacket, as with several others of yours (that olive one off the top of my head), look like suit jackets. When you pair it with the pants you've chosen for each look, you have the classic "oops" of mixing types of fits. - - - - Me the past 2 days, blue on blue yesterday, grey on grey today. [IMG] [IMG]

Yeah, the olive/dark green one has got to go for this and other reasons (fit isn't great). The gray one you've pictured has some pretty obvious SC touches, though--elbow patches, heavy top stitching along the lapel, a coarser fabric finish (which obviously doesn't come through in pictures from that distance).

I'm at the point where I can do navy on top and play it safe on the bottom all week long without repeating an item (5 blue/navy SCs, 5 pairs wool gray or brown trousers). I don't really have the wardrobe yet to do a lot else well, though, especially in the shoulder seasons before tweeds, heavy fabrics, et al are appropriate. So a lot of what I post here is in search of the kind of critiques about fit, coherence, et al that you and many others have provided, as a way to determine what can stay and what needs to go. It seems that I need to jettison and replace quite a few items to have a wardrobe with coherent variety in all seasons.
