Nice getup, spoilt only by your clown shoes! That side shot of your unkept cuffs and shoes is scary

Thanks for the compliment..cuffs aside, why do you consider the shoes "clown" shoes? Curious..

I think he refers to your leg opening/shoe size ratio. Small leg opening & large/ish shoe size can make the shoe appear larger than it is. Not really much you can do about this, maybe buying shoes with rounder last (which will then be harder to incorporate into your sleek, slim style) or change the cut of your trousers.

That being said I like your style very much; I wouldn't change a thing.

Yeah I have this problem. Size 11 UK feet combined with pigeon legs.

I agree with you though - chocsosa looks very good pretty much every time he posts.

He's saying you need wider pants, so the cuff will cover more of the shoes. This makes them look more proportionate. The current small leg opening makes the shoes look disproportionally big, which resembles the oversized shoes clowns tend to wear.

What's your shoe size? I wear a UK10 and I have to wear trousers with a leg opening of at least 8.5" to avoid the clown shoes thing.

Day 2 of loud ties. Prevailing judgments so far were that yesterday's combo was lovely, but not loud (or loud enough). I've brought out the Big Bertha of Loudness for today - Charvet and a shade of yellow more than qualifies it for loudness. It is combined today with a blazer fresh from alterations at BB - it now fits much better than it has, ever, most likely.

    Blazer & trousers - BB
    Shirt - Tyrwhitt
    Tie - Charvet
    Cufflinks - Thomas Pink
    PS - Robert Talbott
    Shoes - Canali

You guys always forget Chocsosa is a giant and his sleek jackets won't mesh with fuller cut pants.

@chocsosa I wouldn't change a thing, every fit you put out there is impeccable.

I didn't forget it. Of course fuller pants require a different jacket cut as well. All I'm saying is that it would be beneficial to take your own proportions into account.

For example, I could try to fit myself into the super slim suits that are fashionable nowadays (as a matter of fact, I've tried it), but it just doesn't work for me. I need full trousers in order to make my feet and quads proportional. I need a jacket with a full chest in order for it to be proportional with the trousers. It's a bit hard to find in RTW at the moment, but I think the super slim/short trend is on its way out.

Chocsosa is slim so his slim suits flatter his build, so proportions are taken into account. He can't now throw that away coz he has long feet and he has to wear fuller pants

    IMHO, AFAIC etc etc
