Preposterous.
Yeah one of the best things about @Betelgeuse ’s pics is the deep patina he gets on those several pairs of medium-dark brown shoes he wears. Context is everything. Black works in a more formal setting but the right colour brown can make for a great look.
And I’m not on about that scuffed up look I see people wearing more commonly with bright blue suits and shoes either in light tan or that colour that resembles the contents of a toddler’s nappy.

Summer Uniform, variation number two: the Ivy League uniform, with khaki swapped out for seersucker. The navy blazer is a southern "tweed' (cotton/linen/bamboo blend) that I've had since 2008.

One sartorial friend of mine said that Aldens are like potato chips: after you try your first one, you end up hankering for another. This is my fifth pair of Alden loafers, and I'm still on the hunt for more.

Threads cited:

Panama from Goorin Brothers, Charleston.

Custom shirt from Grady Ervin, Charleston.

Jacket from Brooks Brothers.

Seersucker trousers from Jos. A. Bank.

Alden pennies from eBay.

Pocket square from grandma's quilting drawer.

No-show socks.

Smart Turnout watchband; Timex Weekender watch.

Warby Parker glasses & sunglasses.

Thanks a lot, Macjedi. (Wore a Baracuta as well today - bought yesterday - very nice, much better fit than a Fred Perry Harrington that I bought a few years ago)

More importantly, where’s the photo of the McLaren?

Had no idea there were people in this group who wanted to see pictures of McLarens. Had I know that, may have posted this picture taken in February 2016 sooner.

(For those who are wondering, I am wearing a Brooks Brothers cotton suit.)
