I’m not a huge fan of the fold but to each his own but what exactly is wrong with the square? Plus a white linen TV fold PS with a casual jacket with a patch breast pocket sounds ill-advised at best.

The shirt, tie, and pocket square as a whole is too much. Plus the pocket square is just ugly. I don't post fit pics here that often but here's a tv fold with a patch breast pocket. It works.

A white PS usually goes with everything although they’re hardly ever the best choice except for a few exceptions. I agree that the white PS does work in the pics that you posted and that’s because both jackets are really busy for lack of a better word.

In his case, he’s wearing a solid jacket. He could’ve picked a better PS but a white linen to me would be taking the easy way out.

Anyone interested in trying to revive the 25+ thread? Was a very helpful resource to me when starting out. (And judging by how a few fits I've posted recently have been received I've plenty learning to do yet :D)

I'll happily commit to doing exactly as much much work cross-posting pictures as I happen to remember to put in, so long as others make that non-pledge with me.

Entirely unrelated to my previous post, a question of theory.

How ought an overcoat fit? How much room between one's jacket and the coat should there generally be? Should the coat fit snug or loose? How loose?

Alas you only get +1 like for this so the chance is exactly 4%. In SF even if people like something they're too afraid of going against the common thought.

On this forum the currency is attention, so you could see it as a seed investment in your future effort?

I disagree the shirt and tie are really busy and the pocket square makes it a miss mash of goods. If anything a white linen pocket square would have toned things down a notch. Most days i find myself reaching for a white linen pocket square. KISS.

I like patterned pocket squares when the outfit has solid backgrounds for a jacket, shirt, and tie.
