It sounds like you know what needs to be done. I say let the jacket be the lead and let it stand out alone. So solid light blue shirt and a solid grenadine tie. And we need to put a pair of light/mid grey trousers on you.

Superb!

Yet another excellent post from Mr. Six. I do wonder if the tie is a bit rough to go with the rest of his outfit, which is classy. #NITPICKING
I actually don't wear pants...so that might be a tough sell

Those look really tacky, especially with a suit.

You’re insane, it’s classic.

OK, what's your theory of textural discordance?

Thoughts? I still have little to no idea what to do with this coat. Every fiber of my being is screaming plain shirt/tie/square.
I like everything separately, but this seems like a bit of a mishmash clusterfuck.

PC
Panta (incredible heavy linen)

I’d go with a rust/orange or brown tie with this jacket.

There no theory. The tie feels like a Bud Light amongst fine wines.

Disclaimer: I am not trying to offend you. I complimented on your fit but my personal take would have been to opt for a safe tie, like a solid navy grenadine tie. Maybe I should not comment on your great fits.

Why do you think it looks like Bud Light next to wine? Why would you have chosen a grenadine instead?

The rough texture. The "rawness" of the tie compared to the fine and elegant shirt and jacket. If you disagree, that is fine. But I do not understand the point of continuing this conversation when we agree that we disagree.
