Thanks for the feedback - I will keep that in mind for future shirts. This one is T.M. Lewin. Now that you mention it, I can see the difference in other SFers' collars. Thanks for improving my eye!
I know, I am using a haphazard fold. I have lately decided to actually use my handkerchief, mostly to wipe my daughter's face and hands when we are out. I just stuff it back into the breast pocket afterwards. I like that it looks functional and not merely ornamental. Here is an even more offensive example:
    IMG_20180627_180649.jpg
Perhaps I should just go with the random stuff and forego folding altogether, as in the above photo. I suppose the problem arises between a stuff and a fold.
Edit: updated PS non-fold today. IMG_20180712_174617.jpg

This is all sorts of seasonally incoherent because the dry cleaners has "misplaced" my two favorite pairs of my summer-wight trousers. So that's super fun. The wool tie was insult to injury but I like the colors.

Today's attire is, with the exception of one detail, unworthy of your attention, so, in lieu of that, some "lifestyle" photos from a members' reception last night at the Whitney Museum.

The one detail worthy of any attention today:

I’m really just bragging about my shirt. Orange linen pop-over.

From yesterday. The shoes are the ones that my puppy chew, so they are now my rain shoes.

Such a mishap would upset me quite a bit. But I do like that jacket.

Posting twice in one week. That probably won't happen again for a while. Several things that have been in flight for some time finally landed this week, including this jacket:

    IMG_3689.jpg IMG_3691.jpg IMG_3701.jpg

Both the jacket and the trousers are from Lori Piana fabric, tailored by Hemrajani. The shirt is by Marol. The shoes are unlined Dovers in mushroom suede and are rapidly becoming my favorite summer shoes. They are just so darn comfortable.

The Spier and MacKay siren song got to me. Went w/ a long to get a good torso length, and the only thing it needs is about a cm off the left sleeve.

Probably best to try to stay in the shade when it's around 103F.

    P1110964.JPG

Brooks Brothers Madras jacket, ecru PPBD shirt, and tie, Robert Talbott pocket square, Trafalgar blue and red surcingle belt, Orvis trousers, and Allen-Edmonds suede shoes.

Some may remember a while back when @Caustic Man (and some others) bought similar ties from the Ivy Style blog with little insects, scissors, and other things (as best I remember) embroidered on the blue parts of tie and I mentioned I already had a similar tie (without the little embroidered things) I hardly ever wear I got at Brooks Brothers around 45 years ago.

I'm definitely not thrilled. Giving them a bit longer to track them down before hitting them with the sticker shock of what it will cost to replace them.

If they accidentally sent them home with someone else, which is what they think might have happened, I'd like to be a fly on the wall when some dude discovers them and wonders why a child has such nicely-tailored clothing.

New suit fresh from the tailors earlier on this week..From D'Avenza..did some surgery on it to get it to come out fine..re-cut the shoulders, rotated the sleeves, took in the sides, recut the collar, e.t.c..That was just on the jacket alone.. I think it came out well..

I would agree with that assessment!
