I think I'd ditch the tie entirely, or go with a hunter green or navy knit.

I had you specifically in mind when I started my search for a ring. Any chance you'd share any interesting details about that one there?

I own three rings, all of which were custom made for me, including the one pictured. The stone is a tourmaline, emerald-cut, and I chose it for its size (not too large, not too small), and color (I wanted a green stone). I can advise you, if you decide to have a ring made, that you choose a stone that is fairly high up on the Mohs scale (tourmaline is 7.5 - a diamond is 10), with a strong crystalline structure -rings get banged around a bit (at least on me).
