Looks great. One thing I want to vent about, and this is not directed specifically at you Butler, I don't get the Museum calf, or Ilcea (or whatever it's called). I know there's a whole lotta love here for these finishes, but to me it looks artificial and forced, as if trying to create a well-worn patina instantly. I much prefer the subtlety of Ed Green's antiquing. Naturally, YMMV.

From before my time.... I'm still a n00b, dear Pliny [IMG]

Agreed, this is perfect. Most of the time I see DB's here that are too short, resulting in a somewhat effeminate silhouette (looks like a dress). Not so this one!

Thanks kulata, you are right....too much pocket square out...Agree....

Second one, again using a Hacket blazer bought on sales..nice price, fabric again in whool, linen and silk (I like this kind of fabric, it recovers well after an entire day of use...and it is enough light fot the "funny" weather we have here in the spanish summer). Beige chino trousers from LA (spanish tailor), pocket square from suit supply and again...one of my favorite summer shoes...from Carmina.

DC - Not feeling the pants with that SC.

Friedrich - Not feeling that tie.

Clags - Those are a lighter charcoal to my eye, but either way, I like them in that fit. Nice contrast with the jacket.

You have some spectacular outfits which look good on you, but are not for me. I think you need to avoid the jeans at all costs...gives me bad flashbacks of older grey haired guys on the Amalfi Coast, trying to look young and cool but failing miserably. I think a person gets to a certain age where jeans just look silly. I wore them for far too long

Odd how lots dismiss charcoal pants out of hand then we see pics where they not only look brilliant but are indeed the best option.
