@Hal Freeman Thanks you for your very kind words, sir.
Very autumnal feel to the weather here today. Perhaps still a little soon for tweed but flannel is OK:
Suit in lightweight Italian flannel from Angelico
Shirt - CT
Tie - Jos. A. Bank
PS - from the Metropolitan Museum of Art
Socks - John Rocha
Shoes - CT
Breaking in new trousers.
Back to flannel
LACMA x Dapper Day: Chagall attire.
Last year I wore a 1940's white DB suit (which is pretty dandy) but this time I decided to do something more in line with what I normally wear. The trousers and shirt are MTM while the jacket and tie are vintage. Most 1940's jackets are heavily padded, but I think this one is classically cut/designed to work with modern trousers without looking like a mismatch.
If ya'll want you can read my blog post on the event. Honestly, I wish more stuff like this happened in LA; it might just be me, but I think we're pretty starved of cool menswear events.
Today is quite cold around here, so time to take out this jacket for a spin.
I think I first saw that jacket of @Betelgeuse's about four years ago. Loved it then, still love it now. Awesome fit.
Pretty much perfect.
@Poszetka Lovely suit and fit overall. Might I ask the width of those lapels?
Setting another achievable goal, going to Marugame Udon on Opening day and getting a bowl of Kake Udon for $1.00.
Stretch Goal (as it's sometimes called in retail) of being one of the first one hundred people and getting a $10.00 Gift Card.
Extra Added Attraction Goal, getting a picture with the udon-making robot that's coming here from Japan.
All Brooks Brothers except for a Gucci pocket square, Orvis trousers, and Allen-Edmonds Flagstaff penny loafers.
