Thanks, but I already submitted another fit. I think it would be disingenuous of me to post a fit that did not include bit loafers and black watch.

so it would seem. glad you love them. :)

indeed, they are very much not needed, and id never do that. but for the look he is shooting for, i think he nailed it. its very non-SF, but its kinda cool its own in your face way.

are we having white shirt and navy pants discussions in one day? :face-explodes:

AAS - that is a great use of a green shirt.

Oh I think the gangster look will work even better with my double breasted pinstripe suit. I will wear that lizard shoes next time I wear that suit with a hat for the full gangster look.

Here is an old image of me in the same coat with charcoal trousers, the trousers are darker in real life and do provide a good deal of contrast. Wearing a pink shirt but of course white could be replaced very easily and is possible even a better choice. Not sure who said it but I disagree with saying navy add's an extra colour to the mix mostly because I think a lot of SF's would reach for a navy tie in this situation so the navy is already there.

Anyway, thanks for all the thumbs yesterday and glad my fit brought about some nice debate. My official stance on white shirts is if it's a formal white shirt i.e spread collar, poplin etc it won't get worn with a SC but button downs I have no problem with in the right context. Generally, I opt for blue 9 times out of ten because it works with my complexion much better. Despite being a small part aboriginal, my much darker skinned cousins back in the bush still call me whitey.

I'll take your word for it HC, but to my eye not enough contrast there, looks like a mismatched suit.

Thanks for your input. I could respond, but it would be a tedious response, and I suspect everyone is getting tired of the white shirt thing by now.

This is very nice, much better than the last iteration in my opinion. I like the pink shirt and have always thought I would wear one but each time I have one I just keep reaching for the blues and whites or blue and white stripes so I have given up on them. This, though, is very good.
