ahoy two of two! Good work noods!
Thanks for the thumbs and feedback over the last couple of days. Here is today.
Spoiler: Warning: Spoiler!
Good to see that Spectre's Amazon order of a carton of nice finally arrived.
Your display of double breasteds is edging me towards having one made. You wear them well, and I think I'm just about over the hangover of those awful 80s versions.
Would look good, maybe in a mid grey or navy chalk flannel. I'm also keen on a black and white three piece small houndstooth suit with forward pleated trousers but I spend so much already, they must wait until my budget is ready.
At my age, so much to get, so little time....
She looked at this foto and told me that with the foot and made an other one. I took the first one. So because it was a relaxed atmosphere, perfection was not the goal.
do it now. DBs are the ish.
GMM - i gave you a like for the top block. bottom block not doin it for me, buddy.
Forgive the expression, it's been a trying day.
DBs are the ish, but only if they are well-proportioned - silhouette, button placement, jacket length all become even more important with a double-breasted suit than a single. Today's happens to be a happy "crime of opportunity" - a sale item at Paul Stuart in NYC.
I love the texture of flannel, but between NYC's climate, and its central heating, I an hesitant to buy more flannel, preferring not to swelter in my suits save for the dead of winter. Mid grey or navy chalkstripe would be great-looking as a DB, and Holdfast actually has a 3-piece in a houndstooth not dissimilar to the one you describe - in the autumn (Northern Hemisphere), I am sure it will make an appearance.
That's really good, Choc. The subtle pink-and-green works nicely.
Who makes these trousers? I like the fit and texture a lot.
@SeaJen you have an uncanny resemblance to Liam Neeson! awesome!
Nice look btw
Chocsosa your suiting always seems to fit you very well, and I know it's been said in here before that you are a big dude. Are your suits bespoke?
never done bespoke.. only made to measure a handful of times.. most of my stuff is RTW..just have a really awesome tailor! Thanks MGD! Thanks Sug.. do you know of any places to get wider knits in San Fran? Like 3.25-3.5 if possible?
It´s middle class RTW from a German brand called "Windsor". After the season you get this brand with a 50-70% discount from a german online outlet, which is a good price for the quality.
