    + 2. I'd also say that the jacket is just a little too small, as can be seen from the significant pulling on the button when fastened.

    This is a bit of step below the excellent fits you were posting back in the winter / spring, @daDudeson . I hope your powers have not disappeared with your beard.

    Like the mullet haircut was termed 'business in the front, party in the back'; this outfit could be termed 'cocktail party up top, yard work down below.'

    @spectre thanks for the prompt reply and your local Melbourne knowledge referral, which is greatly appreciated.

    I will add Patrick Johnson to my short list (along with the Carbone brothers) to visit during my next trip to Melbourne.

    If you can achieve a good fit with your ex Patrick Johnson MTM and/or adjusted RTW garments, then all power to you sir. I agree with you that bespoke is not necessarily better.

    For example, I rejected some bespoke trousers from my long time Hong Kong tailor recently as the fits were awful. In fact, my RTW Country Road Clothing trousers from Australia have better fits than the reject bespoke trousers. Fortunately, my Hong Kong tailor agreed to refit and re-make the rejected trousers order, so I expect to get the desired fit in the end... good things take time.

    I have many items from Patrick Johnson and I simply could not imagine a better fit from anyone. Good luck. PM me when you are in Melbourne if you like and I can introduce you

    With respect to working sleeve buttons, I decry the current fashion for RTW with such. It virtually guarantees that the fit will be a compromise, and in many cases (e.g. mine - I have a dropped right shoulder from too many years of playing the cello) - perfect fit becomes a near impossibility.

    SuitSupply, I'm looking at you.

    @EFV @Henry Carter @Tried and True

    Thank you for the input guys. The shoes are rubber soled suede full brogues. Casual indeed, but I hoped alright for a summer outfit and the activity of 'grabbing a beer'[IMG]
    Yes, the pants definitely could use some pressing. It's a very light end on end fabric.
    @EFV I should have a similar pair of 'brown duck canvas' trousers on the way now. I really liked yours and hope I'll have my Luxire trouser fit nailed down now with the second pair.

    @FlyingMonkey I certainly hope not [IMG]
