There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

I see your point sir, an excellent ensemble indeed. Very Elegant,

What other versatile waistcoat colours do you recommend for separate wear besides lite grey? I find that lite grey pairs up nicely with a lot of colours.

    Thank you for replying.

The idea behind both threads is basically the same. The difference is that WAYWRN (this thread) and WAYWT (the thread you linked too) is that WAYWRN is in the CM (Classic Menswear) part of SF, while WAYWT is in the SWD (Streetwear & Denim) part.

To make everything a little more complicated, there is also a casual version of WAYWRN which you can find here:

Very simplistically you post more formal CM fits in this thread, more casual fits but still in the CM category in the casual sister thread, and when you cross over to streetwear you post in WAYWT. Sometimes the lines are blurry of course.

There are quite a few people here that post regularly in both the formal and the casual WAYWRN. A few of us sometimes dare to post in WAYWT as well, but generally there is not a lot of crosspostings between the CM and the SWD parts of SF, which I personally think is a little unfortunate.

I really like the top half, but I think the warmth and the colour of the shirt make the light grey trousers stick out a bit. Maybe a bit darker would help? Just a thought. Jacket looks great!

Hm, you might be right. My first intention was to go with mossgreen corduroys but I changed my mind. The pants are flannel so in terms of texture it works pretty well, but I agree that the colour might be slightly too cool to fit well with the rest.

I had the pleasure to intend the french ceremony of "Cesar" this friday night. Cesar are our equivalent of Oscars for french cinema, in case you didn't know.
Georges Clooney was here as special guest too.

So I had to dress a little more formal than I usually do.

After the ceremony, a dinner is given with the cinema professionals at the Fouquet's on the Champs Elysees.
I actually happened to be seated at a table with a Cesar-winner.

And now comes the fun part.
This Cesar is an award for the best "costumes", which is also the french word for "suit".
Which SFer could dream of a better Cesar to take a picture with?

I went with the light grey as I thought it would pair well with the navy, but, as you say, it is very versatile. I have a gunclub waistcoat I got from SuitSupply that works quite well with a range of things, both tweeds and non-tweeds. I'd look at various colors of doeskin or moleskin waistcoats. Tattersall is also very nice. @SprezzaTrash showed how good that can look in this thread recently.

Due to the early rising of Husband, and a fortuitous discovery of the camera, the tripod, and the USB dongle, all in the same place at the same time, we were able to take a few shots of what I'm wearing today. The number of shots are abbreviated, and the view is one of the few views current that doesn't have corrugated cardboard as a backdrop, but it does give some indication as to what the new place looks like, and I in it.

    Shirt - BB
