Crap pics - forgotten how after all these years - but you might get a rough impression.

spectre might not have made the most diplomatic of returns, but I'm curious to hear critical reactions to the pics he's posted....

Dull, as opposed to sedate. There really isn't anything much going for either of them. The first is on the bad side of dull; the choice of tie isn't doing anything for the yellow-gray of the suit. The second on the good side of dull, standard navy suit, blue shirt, blue neat. Compare these with Pingson's usual fare, and you'll see why dull =/= sedate.

That being said, I appreciate spectre putting money where his mouth is.

my bad. I was thinking of the Formosa suit in Drapers linen. yours looks great tho.

Well, it's been a while since my last post here, but in that time I've bought a new suit. I'm still on my journey towards looking professional and respectable. I had the opportunity to dress for a business meeting today, and I got some pictures afterwards.

Grenadine burgundy tie from Sam Hober, white linen pocket square from Kent Wang, charcoal made to measure suit, and brown Allen Edmonds shoes. I'm less proud of the shirt, which is a J. Crew shirt that's too big in the neck and has a short wimpy collar. Oh, and I've changed my hair recently as well, which I'm having mixed feelings about.

For context, the VP I spoke with was in a pinstripe suit with no tie. Some of the people he answers to were in the room, dressed in business casual with no coats or ties.

Any input? Thanks!

There are many refinements u can make to this- e.g. tie knot, square placemen - but not a bad start

Can't tell anything much here. Not egregiously bad
