Thanks @RFHansen ! I think that tie actually came in a lot that I bought off eBay many years ago when I was first trying to build up a wardrobe but I am only appreciating it of recent.

@Andy57 Looks great! Lovely well put for Chinese New Year sir.

@blekit is that the completed suit sir? Looks amazing! Nice addition for a green PS too.

I'd like to ask for your opinion guys. I've recently been trying to put an ecru shirt into my rotation but I can't seem to figure out which PS to wear with it. Should I just stick to white? I'd like to hear your opinions on ecru shirts and how to wear them correctly.

    Thanks,

    Hal

Hmm. Beautiful suit, Justin. I think this cloth is going to turn out to be so very versatile.

This will be a short week, as I'm working from home Friday, and will be taking off for parts northeasterly Friday evening, coming back in time for Valentine's Day.

Today's suit was an experiment - a top-of-the-line suit from JAB that was marked down so low that it was worth trying. Even with a second set of alterations, with taxes it cost me about $400.

    Suit & tie - JAB
    Shirt - BB
    PS - Robert Talbott
Shoes - Paul Stuart house brand
    Overcoat - BB
    Scarf - Frank Stella, NYC
Hat - Selentino, via JJ Hat Center

An added bonus - a few shots of the almost complete new apartment - the new backdrop for photos after the end of next month.

I thrifted a jacket that looks very similar to yours (albeit my picture has a poor resolution and we can't really discern the brownish windowpane). I wonder if it's the same cloth. My fit leaves a lot to be desired, though.

^^ I'd love to know more about thrifting in general. Is it different to consignment shops? What sort of discounts can one get?

LuxeSwap is one that I follow but I don't know if one considers them a thrift store rather than a store with quality seconds.
