There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

New PRL madder tie. I think a different jacket would have been better. Burgundy shirt and purple cardigan.

Well, I take my inspiration from your good self and the incomparable @upr_crust and I must say I'm delighted with my first Fedora foray!

That being said where does one put it when in and around town? :smarmy:

Well, that is a problem. I usually put my hat on a spare seat, or behind me, if there's room. As a last resort I will put it on the floor under my seat. But the overall demise of hat-seating has led to a concomitant demise in the number of places that make accommodation for people who do wear hats. I end up carry it around in my hands quite a lot of the time when I'm indoors. Perhaps it was always thus, I don't know. Perhaps @upr_crust has some better suggestions?

When it comes to pants, cotton--with the exception of moleskin--are neither fish nor fowl. Wool or linen.

Though I can stomach the ultra trad cotton slacks, blue blazer, OCBD, and repp. That's all well and proper.

I share the same problems as Andy57, with the same provisional solutions - extra seat, behind one's seat (a corner banquette in a restaurant is optimal for this - always a shelf in the corner for the hat), and, when desperate, on the (hopefully) clean floor. Otherwise, the hat either is carried, or remains clamped to my head, and yes, I yearn for the days when hats were more common, and thus proper storage for same was more common too.

Just the price for looking extra good :D

Cold for around here (about 50F), damp, and overcast this morning at 7:45 and showing the solution to the tie-not-showing-when-wearing-a-crew-neck-sweater problem some have commented on in the past.

The ever popular "Piece-Of-A-Person"picture showing (in its entirety) the solution to the tie conundrum.

Brooks Brothers Brookstweed jacket, OCBD shirt, and old (Made In Scotland) Shetland crew neck sweater, Lands' End tie, generic pocket square, L L Bean cord trousers, Gold Toe argyle socks, and Allen-Edmonds khaki grain McTavishes.

Close up of the shoes and trousers, along with the instructions in the sidewalk that directed me to the place where the above pictures were taken.

Went with the best wife of all to the Casino in Stuttgart (originally we wanted to got to Baden Baden, but that fell victim to snowy streets) for a nice dinner and some gambling at the roulette tables.
We already expected to be "slightly" overdressed in dinner suit and cocktail dress, but we did not expect that things would be as sad as they turned out to be. The casino highlights a strict dress code (no jacket, no entry) on ist website. While they actually enforced that gents wear jackets they did not seem to mind that a substantial group paired their sport coats with the most fucked up jeans and dirty shoes.

Back to work after really fun holidays. Unseasonably warm today. Thinking it might be time to invest in more lightweight suits. Mid-50's here.

Thanks for all the likes on yesterday's new suit guys.
Here is an other new suit with different features: single breast, 3/2 buttons, peak lapels:

Not truly a "what are you wearing right now", but a "what were you wearing a few days ago" ... simply did not make it to post earlier. Something for a little afternoon walk in the Swabian countryside before temperatures dropped and snow arrived.

Tweed jacket, cavalry twill trousers, herringbone shirt, PS and EG Inverness shoes

Great looking shoes. It's very hard to see your outfit in the first pic. It could really use a crop. I also think a puff fold would look better than the TV fold here i.e. if it is a TV fold.
