1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

I bought today's coat several years ago, directly after Christmas, during the extra 15% off period of their post-holiday sales, and have never regretted the purchase, in part as coats got shorter directly thereafter.

It's very hard to tell from the pics. Kind of dark and unclear. Pants definitely need hemming. Take to closest Brooks store and they will alter it for you. They treat online purchases same as in-store. While there you can try on other sizes for comparison.

I recall seeing their Polo Coat in a post-Christmas sale (modeled by the annoyingly rakish T. R. Pescod) and thinking "I should buy that, what a great price". But I did not and, as you say, immediately thereafter their coats got annoyingly shorter. #theonethatgotaway

Today, wanted to try a lower-contrast tie/shirt combo. Did it work?

I wish I had photoshop so I could try to correct the white balance and saturation, etc. I tried to play around on Photo Editor- on the ol' iPhone... The last one is probably the best representation of colour.

This thread is getting so much easier to read since I started using the block function on everyone who quotes full picture posts without spoilers.

Coincidentally, I had the exact same thought, roughly at the same time I read your comment!

Debate club? I wish there was such a thing where I live/study. I could really use the experience - my argumentative skills, especially orally, are really lacking.

Interesting. On first blush I wouldn't think of it as a peacoat - the double breasted buttons on a pea coat are straight and parallel while your top row of buttons look to be slighter wider than the bottom, also your lapels look more reasonable and roll to second row of buttons unlike peacoats that are usually hard-rolled to the top row (and often ridiculously exaggerated too) or a much higher stanced second row. All of that looks to me more like a narrower db config, more like Cucinelli's 1-and-a-half breasted, rather than a pea coat. But I digress, she's a looker!
