1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

Thanks. Yeah, I know. I bought it before I knew any better. I still wear it because of the reasons you mention. And because no-one outside these hallowed halls notices stuff like that.

Pants maybe a bit too short? If last photo was taken standing then yes.

Proof that the city of Los Angeles does not know the difference between a Prime Minister and an opening night and also imagines that people parking in a parking lot are able to coordinate their departures so they all depart at various times.

Brooks Brothers herringbone tweed jacket (with too much stuff in the inside pockets), BB#1 stripe tie, and PPBD shirt, Thomas Pink pocket square, L L Bean cord trousers, and Allen-Edmonds for Brooks Brothers black Strands.

I never could figure out their business model. Who actually shops retail there? Regular sales and coupons make it easy to sale shop only. Good stuff there but have to be judicious now. They have lots of low quality stuff in the mix.

@Roycru - I always look forward to your posts. They add a dose of much needed lightheartedness and humor to this thread.

People in the attorney business might (or might not) say something about assuming facts not in evidence. Pre Allied Stores Brooks Brothers had a business model, which was vertical integration combined with value.

Since then (Allied Stores, Marks & Spencer, Retail Brand Alliance) there has been no apparent business model. The closest anyone has ever come to figuring out Retail Brand Alliance was when G. Bruce Boyer said the current version of Brooks Brothers is an "Italian Department Store".

I haven't bought very much at Brooks Brothers (or anywhere else) since the Bicentennial (which, for those who don't remember when almost all the fire hydrants in America, and almost everything else was painted red, white, and blue, was in 1976).

I just keep wearing what I bought in the sixties and first half of the seventies.
