1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

I like the overall look. The buttoning point on the jacket might indeed be a bit high, but, as you say, oh well. There are worse things, right. The tie, on the other hand, is all kinds of awesome. Except the stripes go the wrong way [IMG]

You are always so erect in photos; congrats on your posture, but I would love to see a relaxed lean-back from time to time.
You know what is bullshit? Fretting about things like this. Open your sleeve buttons, don't, I don't care. It doesn't make a good outfit bad nor a bad outfit good, so I don't care. Meta-sprezz ftw.

You´re absolutely entitled to that opinion, however i do that with all my suits and quite frankly speaking, i don´t care if you like it or not. If that means making the entire outfit crap, so be it.

Same as above and thanks to @Sander for pointing out the obvious.

Today: singe cuff, so no unbuttoned buttons whatsoever.

Back to the office after a day of working from home (supervising essential air conditioning repair - just in the nick of time, considering weather predictions for NYC for the weekend), I need to be suited up, as I'm facing a group of external auditors this afternoon. We shall see if I make it to the office unwilted.

    Suit - Paul Stuart/Phineas Cole
    Shirt - Tyrwhitt
    Tie - Hermes
    Cufflinks - Deakin & Francis
    Braces - Paul Stuart
    Shoes - C & J

FWIW, leaving the second cuff button undone looks affected to me. On the other hand, it's certainly not worth getting in a huff over.

I think @Sander nails it. I know we all fret about relatively minute details, but seriously, who gives a shit about how someone likes to button their cuffs? I can say that, as a stickler for details in the real world, I absolutely would not notice something like that.

@upr_crust I don't particularly like that tie (I'm a bore, admittedly), but everything else is perfect [IMG]

I don't care, but I would notice. I went to an fashion event last night and spent a good amount of time wondering why one gentleman's jacket had such large lapels but tiny hip pocket flaps.

Thanks! The briefcase is made by a quite young Swedish company called Winter Studios.

Made of very thick vegetable tanned calf leather, simple and discreet. The one I am having in the pics is still a prototype but as far as I am concerned, in terms of the look the ones sold in their web shop are the same.
