There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

After being in Malaysia and Singapore for a week, I'm inexplicably glad for the cold weather in Melbourne:

#62. After my last effort (which has garnered 62 thumbs to date), anything I post from now is bound to look like I'm phoning it in.

'He was a tall thin silver man, sixty or close to it or a little past it. He had blue eyes as remote as eyes could be. His skin was smooth and bright and he moved like a man with very sound muscles'.

It's not quite the right quotation, but your pic is definitely Chandler-esque[IMG]

Fantastic look! Someday I will be able to pull off a fedora. Were you on the phone with Tank and Dozer to get pulled back out of the Matrix? Didn't know phone booths still existed down there! [IMG]

Looking fabulous in tweed, as usual, Gerry.

BTW, in follow up to our earlier correspondence about wearing tweed and DB suits, I've taken the necessary steps to indulge myself in both this season. In about a month from now, my new jacket and suit should be ready, and I'm very excited about both.

Once again, thanks for the helpful stylistic advice on details that I may otherwise have overlooked.

Re the fedora, why the hesitation? Just try it, you're bound to love it. :slayer:

I think you are right. Maybe I will try a Panama hat for my next island excursion. Wearing all linen today as it's going over 90 with an air quality warning. Ugh. Hat would have been useful!

Hats are something you have to wear with attitude. It helps to remember that they are NOT an affectation - they are a functional element of the elegant man's wardrobe, and they complete one's look.

Most of the hatless fits we admire would have been considered woefully incomplete, back in the golden era of menswear.

Select your hat carefully, wear it with pride, and give no thought to those who might disparage your choices.
