Second outing of the shantung tie. Would this outfit look better with a white shirt?

I meant the trousers. They're a dead ringer to green Carlo Barbera fabric I ordered my suit from.

I wish we'll have a linen weather soon. Now it's heavy tweeds - it snowed yesterday.

I like this, but the shirt is a bit too blue. Might not be better with bright white. but with cream, ecru or a very pale blue. My guess.

I wouldn't think EliodA 's that shallow; my guess he's referring to a lack of spiritual (and possibly sartorial) attraction. Plenty more fish in the sea, though.

#54. Another crappy "handy" photoshoot. But I'm sure you get the drift.

    Really? Where from?
    Colors are really nice.
Color-wise yes, maybe. But a white shirt would be too formal for me with this; white/light blue striped would be best, I think.
And again. Especially the tie and shoes tie the outfit nicely together, I think.

Midweek, and still cool, if sunny, today in NYC - the extra layer of insulation from a three-piece suit is exactly what is needed this morning.

    Shirt - Tyrwhitt
    Tie - Charvet
    Cufflinks - New & Lingwood
    Braces - Paul Stuart
    Vintage watch chain

@AlexRamius, this would be a solid contender if entered in the Friday Challenge.

I'm bracing myself for mixed reactions on the tie. It is a vintage Brooks Brothers "Makers" tie, and its true color is best represented by the close-up pic in the spoiler. I share a general dislike for yellow ties, a dislike shared by what I think is the plurality of views here. However, this tie seems to speak to me. At one point I was going to drop it from the rotation, but I checked it out with the Trad forum on AAAC and they unanimously said to keep it. I kept it, but I'm still not sure about it. Here goes...

I am rarely a member of any plurality. I like the tie and I think it works fine in this ensemble. But then I also like red ties and I'm lukewarm on brown ties, which puts me firmly at one end of a StyFo spectrum.

    Don't like the shoes, though.
