1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

With the risk of sounding too non-critical for the current mood in this thread, this is my all time favourite outfit of yours.

Not sure who you mean by the old hands, but the ones I put in that class have been gone for like 4+ years now.

I think SF has become pretty cookie cutter these days, and very heavy on the affiliate threads, but the bespoke thread can still be enjoyable.

That coat looks beautiful. And it looks like it fits well--not too voluminous.

Too bad about the shirt. I was thinking hard about getting one. It looks like the collar is too big on you though.

Caustic Man, may I ask what fabric that tie is? I'm not skilled at picking these things out by sight yet.

I am sure that the collar will shrink. (I hope it does!)
Disclaimer: Using the corporate card, I did not pay the full price. But, still!

Let's hear some views in the forum about bracelets. Pro or con?

The Pitti crowd have not convinced me and I wear them seldom, but yesterday (6/2) I celebrated Sami National Day by wearing a traditional Sami bracelet (it's the one in the middle, made with denim, copper thread and a reindeer horn button). Some high end brands have made bracelets inspired by Sami craft, but this is the real deal. The other two are from Viola Milano and Tod's.

I'm contra. Beads and natty bracelets just don't seem on to me. Ones with cultural significance are exempt of course. :)

The new (old) soft collar point is the same size as the BB OCBD collars have been for the past few years. On my (much) older OCBDs, the collar point is just a tad longer.
The material of the shirt is soft.
The buttons are cheap and thin. I predict that they will not hold up after several washings.
After the first laundering, there were some loose threads.

For a $140 shirt, I have second thoughts about the quality of the construction. Perhaps, others have a better impression than I.

I just received two OCBDs from Proper Cloth -- the "Heavy Oxford Dress Shirt) http://propercloth.com/dress-shirts/white-heavy-oxford-28567.html

I have not laundered them, yet. But, the fabric is more hefty and the buttons are a step up in quality and thickness from the Brooks Bros offering. And the price, $85, is appealing.

Gong Xi Fa Cai to all those celebrating Chinese New Year. The square is by Vanda Fine Clothing and commemorates the year of the monkey in the Chinese zodiac.

Very nice suit fabric. Very nice overall! Question though, I have noticed there is no shirt cuff showing on your last couple of fits here. Is this intentional?

Yes and no [IMG] Yes in the sense that I know it's there but don't do anything about it. No, because it's not my preference - shortening the sleeve at the button would leave too little fabric and I haven't found a tailor that I would trust to shorten the sleeve at the armhole and still maintain the shoulders. It's the same with my other Boglioli jackets and suits.

Wish I could tell you. It's one of my wife's finds.

Exactly what I was looking for. Thanks Clarinet.

I have the same square (since I was born in the year of the monkey). But I liked that series so much so I had to come up with excuses to buy others as well. I have from my wife's year, my son's etc...
