Is that your new KW (or were you just referring to the grat wave square)?

Suit is linen-wool made up by BnTailor. Tie is Richard James. Square is Kent Wang. The Kent Wang suit is moss green.

And I fixed the sizing of the picture.

That fits you quite well, I think. Decent lapels (cf. your Formosas). Perfect for bare feet.

Thanks, guys. @TweedyProf, fit wise, it's better than anything I've ever had off the rack. Here's the back...its unaltered.

Re braces. I don't understand if nobody is meant to see the braces, why does it matter if it's clipon?

Stop making so much sense! Just my .02, it is somewhat irrational to hate clip ons. There is a school of thought that says braces should not be worn with trousers that have belt loops though, and if you are getting trousers that do not have belt loops they will usually have buttons for braces. Just saying.

That’s the traditional view, and it’s one that I share for the most part.

These days there seem to be two rather different attitudes toward braces, however.

The first is the traditional one which you just mentioned. They’re worn for purely practical reasons (to improve trouser drape and fit) and aren’t meant to be seen. Not exactly like underwear, but perhaps a bit like socks. This is the attitude I was raised with.

The second is a more recent one which views braces as a design element in the overall fit, which of course requires that they be seen. Think Braddock, EFV, et al. I think it’s almost by definition a somewhat less formal look, and I think they use them very effectively.

As the person who first suggested braces for the poster in question, my goal in suggesting clip-ons as a place to start was just to get him to try them out in the hope that he’ll realize how much such a simple thing can improve his situation. I wasn’t taking a position in a pro/anti clip-on debate.

Cheers,

Ac
