1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

Clags is my style icon. Easily one of my top 3 best-dressed on SF for me.

Which was why I was just slightly miffed at being caned on WAYWRN for this:

I guess it was just a bit too gangsterish for some folks.

I'm with Clags here. Always difficult to decide from pictures alone but the overall look cannot be judged solely on colour in itself. Like Clags says, hue and vibrance can be equally important as the base colour itself. I would also add texture to the mix. In the first pic that started the discussion the blue SC was in hopsack. That brings life into the fabric that is enough to separate it from the shirt, IMHO.

[IMG] This ensemble is good, especially at a distance. Very Cary Grant. I'd try a tie with a prominent navy blue ground to bring out the suit stripe. If I did that, hank would be solid white linen. Nice work on the buttonhole..

[IMG] Pretty good. I think a solid maroon tie or a maroon with white dots would look better here--tie secondary should contrast with suit. Or swap out the white shirt for a cream, and try a reddish brown solid tie. Buttonhole is a little too vivid a blue, I think. I'd try a mid-brown with that ensemble, or an orange if you went with a brown tie.

Been away from here for a while. Expecting two feet of snow, I have some time on my hands.

Never in my entire life have I heard anything like that directed at me. You are both too kind. And I happen to be reading Diamonds Are Forever at the moment [IMG]

And a sincere thank you to everyone for all the thumbs recently.

I love all the pieces individually, but I feel like the tie and jacket patterns are a bit too close in scale, or at least busyness.
