What do you mean @fieldofdreams ?? I woulda put good money on your wearing white socks in that pic!

Kidding aside, I like the sockless look, though I opt for it more in late summer, when my ankles aren't SO milky white (seriously, I make you look deeply tanned lol).

Pleasure to meet a fellow Valley resident as well!

KT, I think that shirt is too saturated.

For my skin tone or to match with the jacket and tie, or both?

@Academic2 your comments are spot on, imo. In addition, @DavidLane I would consider lengthening your jacket a lot more than 1/4". A full inch or so will give you a better silhouette.
@Koala-T the shirt looks quite well with your skin tone actually, it's just too dark for that jacket.

Your fit would benefit from a trouser that is a touch longer and with a slightly more full cut/wider leg opening. You appear to have a large upper body and the narrow tapered trousers make your body appear disproportionate and odd. You need more balance between upper and lower body and then the fit of your suit will be much improved. And less hipster fashiony too (which is always a good thing).

Along with my good friend @Koala-T ...I don't think the loafers really do you any favors here. And suit sans socks is 98% of the time a major faux pax.

A nice Italian-styled Chestnut penny loafer would look great with the suit.

Personally, I tend not to subscribe to the theory of matching colors of clothing to skin tone. I think just about anything can look good on anyone if it is styled appropriately and worn properly. (Obviously there are some exceptions...after all this is the "Classic Menswear" thread and not the Flamboyant Hot Pink Clothing forum)

I do, however, think the shirt is too saturated for the jacket.

Also, not a fan of the pocket square or the way it is arranged in your pocket. Fire Engine Red continues to detract from the overall quality of your fit. And a puff would look much better than points strewn about randomly.

And, I think you should stop wearing belts. Your trousers would hang much better with a nice pair of braces.

One other thought for serious consideration that applies to a number of your outfits - while I disagree with many on this forum that the "Northern Lights" rarely if ever work...I do think it adds a degree of challenge and you often run into situations where people may question...."But would your outfit have looked better with something else...?". In the case of this outfit...I think you would have been better off with a different and lighter colored trouser. The dark trousers against the light jacket is just not doing it for me. I think a tan of khaki twill weave trouser would look better here. Or a completely different jacket all together.

From a few days ago when it was 75-80+ degrees in South Florida. Good time to break out this super lightweight Caccioppoli cloth made up by Formosa. Colors came out a bit wonky...don't know why but I guess just weird lighting and I'm not good enough with camera tech to know how to fix it.

Could be wrong, but it seems like this is the sort of cloth that really pops in natural light. I recall seeing Urban Composition in a similar (or same?) cloth on natural lighting and looked extremely vibrant. Fwiw, I'd prefer a bit more spread in the short collar...comes off more pointy than I'd prefer

Yes, it is a very nice cloth and yes my photos don't do it true justice.

In terms of collar pointiness in the second pic...I think that is largely exaggerated by my arms and shoulders pushing the points together to try and take a good pic. The collar is not actually that pointing as is slightly displayed (though cut off some) in the first pic.

I didn't want to come across as rude, if that was your impression. I just think odd jackets in these cloths are less interesting than more textured fabrics.

Better good fits and bad photography than the other way round!

Subzero and the dog froze to ice as I took it for a walk. Have to wait for spring to see if he revitalizes.
