Dude...suit is way to big on you. And from what I can see, that watch should NOT be worn with a suit. Way to big faced....

That's a 36s-r.... no one makes anything decent smaller. :( watch isn't really that big. Same size as my rolex my wrist are just pathetic. But thanks for pointing out my 5'7" 140 pound figure....

SuitSupply makes a 34R, and they're slim fitting anyways. You'd be better off returning this suit and checking out SuitSupply. Some more tips: your tie is too shiny, your tie clip should be placed lower, tuck in your pocket square, get a shirt with a higher collar that covers more of your neck and hem your trousers with less break. Oh, and welcome to styleforum!

34 won't fit my chest... I've tried them on and off the rack I get a ton of pull. 36 shoulders are the problem for me. Could just be the angle of the photo giving the impression also my pants have a little more break then I do enjoy. This is actually the grooms pick for his wedding. A bit tasteless but it's his day. :)

ninja edit. 37 inch chest 28 inch waist, former pro athlete turned young professional.

Good day, gents. I'm a regular over on the thrifting thread, and I've been meaning to post here for some time. I've lurked here for a while, and have really learned a lot. I'm looking forward to contributing. Here are two recent fits, one from last night and the other from this morning. Please feel free to critique, I'm here to learn and be inspired.

Last night:

The lighting is pretty bad on this one, but the PS is burgundy and blue. Sportcoat is PRL by Corneliani linen/flax, shirt is a linen Phineas Cole (love that new suit by the way, @upr_crust .), trousers are cotton twill Faconnable, PS is no name, Braces are Trafalger, and the shoes are shell C&J PTBs.

Details:

Today:

Suit is a Belvest S140s wool, tie is BB, shirt Barneys, not pictured shoes are BB suede loafers.

No two different 34s or 36s are the same, so it's dangerous to generalize. They vary by maker, and within maker by “fit.” Suit Supply, for example, has 11 different fits, I believe, and they all have different measurements.

If you haven't done it, measure your best fitting jacket, adjust the results a bit if needed to represent desired improvements, and compare these measurements with those of what’s available. The idea won’t be to get an exact fit off-the-rack, but to get it close enough that a tailor can work with it.

As Monkeyface said, Suit Supply is a good place to start. They provide the measurements for all their suits online.

Good luck.

Cheers,

Ac

Wearing something a bit out of the ordinary. I had a limited travel wardrobe and didn't feel like wearing a tie on the plane. I'm not sure whether I actually like this combination though.

I like the shirt and the jacket. I'm not sure what, but I think a different pocket square would be better. Overall, I dig it though. I'm wearing the same shirt in Navy over in MC Casual.

Navy suit day

Straight up classy. Well done. That is one of the best tv folds I've ever seen. Just a sliver sticking out of the chest pocket. Who makes the monks, the shirt and the suit?
