Nice, but not enough contrast between jacket and trousers. Looks a bit like 'almost-suit'.

Might be better with grey, tan or stonecoloured trousers.

It IS a suit.

The lighting might make it look a little off, but the trousers are exactly the same color.

The shine is quite different as the jacket absorbs more light than the trousers.

Couldn't resist wearing a new jacket today even though the shoulders need a little bit of work still.

As always, thanks awfully to all those who like my pictures and especially to those who take the time and trouble to post pictures of themselves.

I Be The Batman.....

Brooks Brothers herringbone tweed jacket, sweater vest, PPBD shirt, and tie, Orvis trousers, and Allen-Edmonds for Brooks Brothers shoes.....

Recently, the lady online fashion bloggers have discovered what many of us have been doing for years. They call it "Wall Scouting". On the other hand, we don't call it anything, we just do it.

Yes, I know that it's the middle of June, but it's cold, damp, and windy here, particularly down by the seaside where I am. It hailed in the nearby mountains last night.

Nice jacket! Read on if u will _ I'm going to be pretty harsh with u.

imo the individual elements are nice, but that neat shouldn't be worn with an SC, particularly a plaid.

+ too many colors in the 'golden triangle', like Clags below.

Light weight, lite grey flannels would lift the look. Blue is for busmen.

I'm not liking this one much C'horn. Shirt, tie and square don't gel imo.. The rest depends on whether this is a suit. If not a suit, my objection would be the cutaway buisness-y shirt collar and the tucked pocket flaps in a casual fit. If a suit, flaps and shirt are fine, but imo still a prob with the 3 FU elements (shirt, tie and square) together.

@Ds13 , the only thing your fit needs is a darker tie--I think everything else works pretty well, and will echo Pliny's appreciation of the jacket.

Who says only David Reeves can have fun around here?

My most out-there suit, from a relatively out-there wardrobe. Cross-posted from the Friday Challenge.

that's really really nice Stefan.  What is the make of the mohair blend?  Im thinking of getting something  in Tonik. (Dormeuil's)
What makes me hesitate is the lustre, which I find is a bit too showy for my taste, especially for the office,  but yours doesnt seem to have the mohair sheen at all, so Im curious.

If anyone else is interested, the maker of that mohair was Halstead. It is a 2 ply mohair.
