Right on the money. Got over the "pleats make you look fat or are out of style" mindset that I had (that many "advanced" posters say that don't have but do and tried on single and double forward pleat dress trousers and will never go back. Silly not to be able to see past trends

Lovely tie, Stitchy, and an excellent example of how to do the basics.

May I ask you a question, that's more in the manner of a general comment that is relevant to quite a few people here, if not all. I have been wondering this about several regular contributors to the forum, but your trousers are generally flat-fronted, right? Or at least this pair are? Have you considered whether a fuller trouser with say, single pleats might work better for you? I am increasingly thinking that we fetishize flat-fronted trousers way too much and, while they may look perfect in robo-pose, that I don't really like the aesthetics of the tightness that occurs with any small movement that's quite obvious in several regulars' fits. Perhaps ironically, it is as I am losing weight again (as you have clearly done over the last few years) that I am coming to see that a pleated and slightly fuller and higher-waisted trouser seems an aesthetically better option in more and more cases. But I think a lot of us, whether we are slim or not, would benefit from a more classic trouser.

Thanks. I didn't see the sandals getting much love here, but I hope the rest was a fair attempt at a sport coat and shorts look. Some say it can't be done, but that's never stopped me from trying.
