The chair will return shortly, but I'm really liking the colors I can get like this.

Yet something else dragged out of the archives - a suit I've not worn in six months or more. Happily, it still seems to fit.

Suit - BB Regent
Shirt - BBGF
Tie - PRL
Cufflinks - a craft fair in the Recoletas district, Buenos Aires, Argentina
PS - Robert Talbott
Shoes - Paul Stuart house brand

Like that, not my style but it works well. Thinking of having a PoW suit made in a brownish colour, with BD patch pockets, even the breast pocket, with external box pleats and a half belt around the back, maybe 4 buttons. Think of Safari shooting jacket

@EliodA Obviously I decided to change when I realised how stupid it looked.

Okay, I lied. Let me rephrase that - Miss MeachamLake laughed at me when she saw it, so I really had no choice but to change.

Don't worry though. The power tie will return one day when nobody is looking. When you least expect it.

I like the pants + sneakers myself, but I can understand if it's not in everyone's taste. You're righht about the trousers, I hiked them up, since they're just half an inch longer than ideal. I am quite certain they will sit just right after a washing though.

To be clear: I do like the high waist with pleats, though...

There is hardly a Cary Grant, James Stewart, James Mason, Gregory Peck (to name but a few "period" stars) film, you can go wrong with. Actually missing out on those is a gap in basic education, IYAM.
North By Northwest, Charade, Houseboat, Indiscrete, Operation Petticoat, To Catch A Thief, those are just a very few basic CG ones. There are lots more.

Don't forget about Hitchcock's films with CG and Jimmy Stewart: NxNW (as mentioned), Rear Window, Vertigo (arguably the best film ever made), and The Man Who Knew Too Much (1956).

Given the similar color/saturation of the shirt and jacket, I might have opted for a lighter blue solid or, if you wanted to keep the pattern, a true graph check. Everything else looks splendid, Justin--that inky blue is beautiful.
