Not flawed. Just not a good house style for someone bothered by their sloped shoulders.

Also, for those interested, a better picture displaying my shoulder shape:

Dear Upper Crust,

You are a perfectionist and in secret an aspiring artist to marriage with the Divine.

I'm impressed by everything, every detail in that photograph, from flowery design of the rug, Webster's(?) Dictionary, that unusual marble-colored artefact (corkscrew?) upright on what appears to be a desk (must not forget to mention the baptismal cleanliness of - would you call your suit color off white, ebony, or ivory?) but are those jacket sleeves equipped with surgical or sham buttonings?

I blush at the extravagance of your praise, sir.

For clarity's sake, the rug is an Iranian Kashan, the "corkscrew" are actually a pair of pewter Art Nouveau two-branch candelabra, the piece in which they sit is a two drawer Louis XV style chest, and the sleeves of my cream-colored linen suit have only sham buttonings, I'm afraid.

Included in today's postings is a photo showing the candelabras more clearly.

Stumbled across this. 3rd or 4th date with Mrs. Claghorn, sometime in early 2011. At that time, still needing to wear suits, but no longer in a conservative business dress workplace.

(top button undone, sleeves in all likelihood rolled up at some point during the day. Pre-SF, the days when my priorities were properly sorted ^_^)

This is the loudest jacket I will ever own. But the fabric was just too beautiful to turn down. Got a good rate on it as well, as B&T had ordered some for one of their display jackets and had enough left over for another jacket. H&S linen.

Thanks, guys. Stitch, I don't like the tie that much. I can't complain for what I paid, but this thing is terrible to tie...knot looks horrible. I like the look of it though.

New shirts from Luxire. Very happy considering these were my first order. Went with Spandexter's Barba collar. A few minor tweaks for future orders, but on the whole, excellent. Worn with linen/cotton everything else.

And speaking of navy suede loafers...

And at the weekend I attended a very ritzy engagement party in New Vernon, NJ (the wedding will be like Wedding Crashers, I'm sure). Hopefully we'll get photos from the professional photographer working it, but here is a grainy, out of focus, mirror selfie of my outfit (another of the Luxire shirts)

After a week serving at summer camp (typically one of the best weeks of the year for me) in cotton-poly polo shirts, it's good to be back in coat & tie.

Today's fit.
