It's impossible not to notice you, hoss. IJS...
Very cool jacket!
All linen for a warm Friday:
Suit: Brooks Brothers
Shirt: Proper Cloth Linen/Cotton blend
Square: Kent Wang
Shoes: Brooks Brothers
I wore a Sam Hober 4-fold Grenadine last night and now this Shibumi 7-fold tie today. I am struck by the contrast in substance between the two types of tie. The Grenadine is a very substantial tie, almost plank-like in its stiffness. In contrast, this Shibumi tie is a like a wisp of silk and feels very different. Both lovely ties, but very different. Very different knots, too. Apropos of nothing in particular, just an interesting (to me) observation.
SB, is that water on the ground in pic 2 your sweat from wearing a jacket today? It's freakin' hot out there for SF.
Shirt is chambray, yes? Looks like a great fit with a soft feel and perfect for the pants/shoes. What type of fabric is the jacket, though? I have a heard time with chambray and a more traditional jacket unless it's really soft/unstructured. Hard to tell from the pics though.
Side note on chambray, I'm seeing a lot of #meanswear try to get away with it in more formal suit/blazer fits with ties and I just can't abide.
I note that your Brooks Brothers linen suit is three-button with a peak lapel. Is that a variant that BB did for their Gatsby Collection? I have the Madison model two-button with waistcoat, which will be dragged out for the Garden Party at the Frick Museum in mid-June. It's still quite cool here in NYC - by far too cool for linen.

Yes, exactly. The jacket and trousers in this fit are part of the Gatsby collection. The regatta jacket I wore yesterday is also part of that collection and I have a couple more pieces, too. I also have the Madison 3-piece that you mention, which I also like a lot.
Spoiler: This is England
I knew someone would comment on the water, dammit.
The jacket is very softly structured. Butterfly lining, self-lined for the inside pockets.
Very kind of you Stef
Cleav and Gino Abruzzo, your photos make me wish I were European. Cleav, I hope the Englishman in you doesn't take that moniker as a slight! Great fits, both of you.
