In terms of the money on the floor its a tradition in our culture to throw money at the parents of the guy and the girl when they dance and also when the couple dances everyone throws money. Its been something we have been doing for decades and the whole "make it rain" appeals to the younger generation so it was a mix of older traditional folks as well as younger kids "making it rain".
