On the subject of braces and belt loops: I long ago realized that there are some things I care about very much when it comes to clothes. The fit of jackets and trousers for instance. The fit of shirts I'm much less concerned with. The quality of shoes I'm very concerned with as well. The quality of ties, not so much. Although I can understand some people not liking belt loops with braces, that is one of those things I just don't care about. I'd wear braces with belt loops and not give it a second thought.
Wow, I'm glad I stopped in today. Solid work all around, boys.
My humble effort on a casual-ish Friday. (Edit: The cords are brown, btw)
And (for contest purposes), here's what I wore to my daughter's 2nd birthday party last weekend
Spoiler: Warning: Spoiler!
GM really like the square/tie combo, but with the rest of the fit maybe a tie with some more texture would be a better choice? Or even no tie at all, though I see you're doing the FC challenge with this
As a devotee of wool/cashmere ties with textured SCs like this (and as one generally opposed to silk paired with just about anything other than worsted wool), I tend to agree. But as the weather turns, I find myself wanting to move away from those textures. But also, this tie (though it may not show) has an absolutely spectacular cotton/silk matte texture that reads at close range like the vintage wool/silks that you really can't find anymore. It's really great, and doesn't read like twill silk at all, though that's probably how it's coming through on the screen.
@Mr. Six , I love that so only a slight nitpick. I think a darker trouser color might have worked better. Maybe medium gray flannel.
@sugarbutch Not sold on the shirt, but the rest makes me happy enough to give a "thumb"!
It's my thing.
Thanks! And quite possible. The jacket is a bit lighter than in the pics but something had to give when adjusting exposure and temperature. Slightly darker trousers might have been better but I'm not sure that there's an appreciable difference. I'll compare when I get home!
I don't understand you at all.
I love those shoes!
Worn Yesterday and last week...
A little bit of Biz Casual from last friday
