Ah, makes sense. I was wondering who made such a Kamakura-like collar, turns out... Kamakura does! [IMG]

I figured. Gray would look odd in that context, so I gave you the benefit of the doubt when I "thumbed". Not sure I'm sold on the shade of brown that it appears to be, but you worked well with it.

I hadn't even considered the date vis-a-vis my attire - perhaps I am simply more in tune with old Blighty than I am aware.

As for the lack of brace buttons, that can be fixed at some time in the future.

Thank you for the compliments on my half-hunter - a present from my current partner, showing his innate good taste.

    Then you guess wrong.

Saint George is the patron saint of ENGLAND and England only, not Britain.

Seriously? My compliment to Crusty needed a correction from you? Pedantic much?

In that case, may St Drogo watch over you and keep you safe.

Thin White Duke is not being entirely pedantic - the three (or four, if you count Northern Ireland) realms under H. M. Liz II each have its own patron saint - St. George for England, St. Andrew for Scotland (hence the name of the golf course), St. David for Wales, and St. Patrick for Ireland (whether he engenders allegiance in Belfast is still a matter of some small controversy, I believe). TWD, as a native of the UK (and of England - the far north of it, as it happens) is keenly aware of the distinctions (particularly as the natives of one kingdom within the UK inevitably look askance at the natives of the other realms).

I am well aware of the patron saints of the consituent countries of the United Kingdom as I am, myself, English. It is not merely the natives of the other realms who look askance at one another. As a born and bred Londoner, I look askance at all Provincials. Especially pedantic ones.

Even within London, the opportunities to look askance at the other locals abound - those in Kennington look askance at those from Deptford, those in St. John's Wood look askance at those from Maida Vale, and those in Belgravia look askance at everyone, because they can afford to do so.
