(I'm the guy in the middle)
It is the chest that is too snug. Most people in efforts to wear properly fitting clothes end up wearing clothes that are too tight. When you size up in a suit the shoulder width doesn't change all that much. Sizes are based on your chest, not the waist. Find a chest that fits you and the rest can be dealt with by a tailor. It will end up looking better.
Kindofyoung, your handle should be changed to "reallyyoung"
Thanks for the love yesterday. Here's today. The squaresplosion was somewhat (though not entirely) more contained after taking and reviewing these pictures.
Spoiler: Less harsh light you say? OK!
I don't like that jacket, GMM. Is it linen? I don't like that kind of texture with a pattern.
Blue Wednesday, apparently, for me. Sorry for the poor lighting.
^interesting tie @Citan1145 - details?
x-post from the challenge:
Opted to go with a knit and pair it with similarly casual items (unstructured/unlined linen/silk jacket, OCBD, chambray pants and suede loafers).
Gonna follow up that last post with another blue suit: my first suit and my first time posting in these threads!
With that said, I'd like to apologize for a few things: 1. the poor quality, 2. the hideous tie-knot (I know I need to work on that) and 3. the douchebag-posing. I hope you'll bear with me his time.
Not bad Squire, I like the shirt collars. The tie just needs to be straightened and tightened up a bit.
Yeah, I tried straightening it but it wouldn't budge. Still learning and having just watched a video on how to tie the FIH, I think I know where I went wrong. Looking forward to trying again next time, hopefully it'll turn out better now.
Thanks for the thumbs yesterday, guys.
^CD it is a suit supply tie. thanks for the feedback!
Squire, the neck opening is way too wide on that suit for you. I'd look into some other brands and/or sizes to find a maker that "hugs" your neck a bit more.
