1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

Speaking of French pointy shoes, I'll be shopping for said commodity when in Paris next month - looking for black wingtip balmorals - on the web, it's a tossup between LodinG, Septieme Largeur, Markowski's Prince Jorge line, and Carmina (in ascending order of expense).

My bulbous American feet have stretched out my finely lasted suede French shoes to more appropriate dimensions.

looking back at this again, that is a really nice collar IMO. I've saved it so I can take it with me for a shirt fitting to show the maker.

do you really mean balmorals, though, or oxfords? (re: argument in the cap toe oxford thread)

Noodles I am not a fan of that lapel at all. Its almost like the suit cant commit to peak or notch lapels

God, even lapels have commitment issues these days? When will it ever end?

In the cases of Carmina, LodinG, and Markowski, Oxfords - in the case of Septieme Largeur, Balmorals. Thanks to Chogall for the explanation of the difference.

You've done it now JK. Right now Noodles is throwing out this suit, and every other suit in his wardrobe which is guilty by association for sharing the same closet space as this one. There will now be another ten thousand hand-wringing posts on the Noodles thread while he agonises over refilling his wardrobe wth another eight identical navy blue suits and one grey one. Rinse and repeat.

I won't comment on the shoes, but the belt could be a little dressier, no?
Really? I like concave collars much better than convex ones. Could you elaborate on what you like so much about this collar?
Carmina all the way. Better lasts, better workmanship, better leather.

From what I see of the suit, nice, b in P, but couple things. Would avoid the fancy stripe shirt and go for a pale blue solid, and perhaps a linen or Shantung silk tie . The square desperately needs taming. [IMG] (altho its a nice one.)
