Not me. I have all my earliest fits available for dissection in my What I Am Wearing gallery in my signature. I hope perhaps that someone can learn (or laugh) at my early mistakes!

Well you have the benefit of having been fairly well-established in your style when you joined; I've gone through my 20s in the time I've been a member here.
In '08 I was 21, a junior in college and started thinking about clothes. I got married after I graduated—which I will credit with my having not made the mistake of buying too much too early, at least to the same degree many do when they discover SF (on account of being poor and having financial responsibility toward someone other than myself when I did get a good job).
That said, I've made my share of mistakes, and I laugh at my earliest photos now (I just looked through them, haha). It's only been the last year that I've really started figuring out the aesthetic I want, and begun earnestly putting money into realizing that, building a wardrobe of staples I can rotate reliably day in and day out, while I focus on branching out a bit into higher quality, unique expressions of what I want (ultimately, presumably that will result in bespoke, but we'll see if I ever get there—I work on a church's salary, after all).

I honestly think that having very limited finances when I first started meant that I made a lot of inexpensive mistakes, but have learned to question every purchase a ton. I rarely buy things now that fit me if I think I'm not going to wear them that much even if they're inexpensive. Especially as I contemplate my next move, I think harder about a more minimalist wardrobe. I'm started to get drawn to some SWD stuff as well due to this forums influence and I like the idea of having some more utility.

I've liked your SW&D fits a lot more than your CM fits, for what that's worth.

I envy all of you who can still manage to purchase menswear continuously while paying the mortgage, raising kids, going to school, etc. I have hit the wall and cannot continue.

The average US household has $15,000 worth of credit card debt - sheer insanity. Maybe SF is helping to raise the mean? Half joking. Definitely not looking to make it a discussion.

Personally, I'm with you - I don't buy as much as others (so it seems) because I do not use credit cards at all - I own one for emergency purposes and use it for stuff like a tank of gas or groceries for steady credit payment history, but that's it.

So if I can't pay cash, I can't get it. Helps me remain pretty disciplined, which I like.

And now that my wardrobe is more beefed up I am going to go with the whole 1 in, 1 out rule the best I can. Gotta keep that SF economy moving!
