For me, the beard is best. It's been an important style element in many of his past fits.

    Cheers,

    Ac

Edit: There are quite a few SF folks for whom a well-trimmed beard is a very important element in their fits; in addition to EFV, in stitches, Pingson, and Murlsquirl come to mind just off the top of my head. No doubt there are others. — Ac

Edit #2: To be clear, I never said the moustache is bad; I said the beard is better. — Ac

Anyone who's seen any of my posts will probably not be surprised at my pro-mustache stance.

I would, however, suggest trimming the ends to directly above the corners of the mouth. Yours goes a good bit beyond, and this tends to create a sort of jack o'lantern effect, exaggerating the width of the mouth.

In any case, if you decide to shave it off, I would at lest give it a try first. A mustache trim is a haircut like any other, and seemingly subtle changes can make a big difference. You may have to keep it longer than a few weeks to find what works for you.

I kinda like the mustache and neatly styled hair. It's a very "period film bad guy" look.

True, but I like the picture more for the era of Hollywood film style that it represents, plus I love the sunglasses :)

It was 50 in NYC today. In light of these historic temps, I'm wearing a new to me tennis sweater and cotton pants. I can't wait for spring. Shoes are a little dark.

I assume you mean the duffle coat. I got it from Uniqlo about two or three years ago. I just bought a black watch duffle coat off eBay yesterday. It should be in this week. In case you meant the camel coat, it's Wallach's via eBay.

Am I the only one who think's that EFV's mustache (which I like) looks similar to Lord Lucan's mustache?
