    C'mon, dude. I think you had the same reception on the other thread. Start Listening to people.
    I don't care for your preference, but if you're going to dress feminine then you're always going to get the same reaction. Might as well quilt this forum and start your own forum where your look will be appreciated.

    It helps that we have slippers available to guests. I actually had people remove their shoes before I moved to Asia; after returning to Texas, I've just become more of a stickler for it.

    I always remove my shoes upon entering my home, but I wouldn't expect others to.

    I pretty much never take off my shoes upon entering my home, and I can't even remember the last time I went to someone's home who required shoes off. Offhand I can only think of one person around here who is specific about that.

    Just got this back from the tailor, I would do a shoe shot, but sadly the pants came out too short. Let me know what you guys think its my first time trying this suit on.

    Shirt = Luxire
    Tie = Canali
    Suit = Ring Jacket

    If iso has been clear about preferences, then what's so difficult about commenting solely on the coherence and not the tailoring and flare etc?

    It really does seem like common sense. In college, I had people take off shoes as a way to keep my floors cleaner, longer. Now I can't imagine people walking around our place with shoes on. I don't think anyone has ever given me even a weird look at my request, even in college. It seems like it's clearly personal preference, not any sort of statement of hygienic superiority, and a reasonable request. Mrs. C has insisted that I don't take off my shoes at the houses of people who don't take off their shoes, because then my socks will pick up grime from the ground outside. This seems like a little much.

    In addition to slippers for people who are, for whatever reason, ashamed of their socks, we also have a bench to help people take off their shoes.

    My parents have recently started removing their shoes in their house, though they don't have any qualms about wearing them going quickly in and out (like unloading groceries or fetching something forgotten on their way out the door). A few other friends and parents of friends have required guests take of their shoes. So I'm sort of surprised, Stitchy, that you don't know many people that do. Where I grew up in Texas, I'd say around 20% of the people asked it of their guests.
