Well said, and one of very few things a Celtics fan and Lakers fan can agree on (other than the fact that both of our teams were awful this year).

Definitely the tie is lighter. I could rationalize it by saying a lighter blue might have washed out the tan stripes a bit, but really, I just wanted to wear a low contrast shirt-tie. Plus I like saturated shirts on sunny days. But yeah, in general I'd prefer a lighter shirt with this tie. Really, I'd like the tie more were the stripes not tan, as the tan stripes don't pair well with a white shirt.

AE nice loafers (and Summery fit) . C& J Cavendish? I'm looking for the perfect tassels.
    Rock on dads

JK- Your pics never do you justice. Great proportions, and that SC looks pretty awsm - is it a silk/wool?

Just a thought - lavender? + brown and blue aren't ideal together IMO. I accept that may just be my taste.

Not much going on here, is it? Apologies for the poor quality of the pics, couldn't find my regular camera.
Batik PS again, this time a simple cotton hankie.

The knit and pinstriped jacket are sending me mixed messages, though it's mitigated somewhat by the fact that the stripes are brown.

That's right, there's quite a bit of 'discordance' there. Was trying to make the pinstripes work in a somewhat less formal context. (Did the same a month or so ago with a navy pinstripe).
Actually, this fit was inspired by one from a highly esteemed former SF member. But his suit, albeit of very similar colours and smooth worsted fabric, was a windowpane pattern. Probably that works better.

Been travelling a lot lately, so have had few opportunities to lurk these pages, let alone post any photos. I am finally back again and I am now trying to get through the last few days before a long, well-deserved vacation. Not entirely happy with today's low contrast between trousers and SC, but I didn't feel like running back up to switch trousers after I realised it.

Nice suit. Is your suit a Caruso? I have a suit that is similar but I out grew. :(

sos about the necro quote CD, but I didn't see this b4 and I think it's well-proportioned and really top notch.

r u wearing a black suit?? Again, nice proportions. Love that blue tie, and those shoes [IMG]

Charcoal suit with dark choc knit and dark reverse calf is a cool combination. The navy stripe shirt is perfect with the charcoal too, IMO. Minus the pinstripes this is awe-some.

Thanks, man. This one is a Borrelli, and I have to be very careful not to out grow it.... [IMG]
Good luck with the match tonight!

Thanks for the suggestion, Pliny. Next time I'll try this with a plain charcoal suit.
