Possible yes, but I have done it before, and am not a fran. With the amount of fabric that would have needed to be removed to get the right length, the sleeve pitch, particularly by the elbow, would be way off. And when that happens the sleeves become uncomfortable, the elbow bend being in the wrong place and what have you. This fix, although suboptimal visually, it leaves the pitch and comfort of the arms as is. Optimally, having new sleeves entirely would have been the best fix, but that was not a reasonable option.

And it would mess up the pattern matching.

Good day guys. Back on track; a red silk carnation to my second hand Austin Reed suit.

Indeed, Mujib, most likely it would. All in all I think the solution that I ended up with works fine given the situation. I'm cool with it. :)

You could learn a thing or two from your sons. They seem to have grasped the basics...

It is definitely "outside the lines," but I think it works on a jacket. If it were on a full suit I would have to check the "no" box.

That's fair enough, but @Isolation did specifically ask what people thought of the cut of his jacket. If that hadn't been asked I probably wouldn't have said anything (which I didn't when his fit was originally posted).

I didn't say you shouldn't post. I just think that you want people to compliment your fits but it's not the aesthetic people are going for so they don't and you get disappointed.

Yes SB, you're right. I meant SF-approved CM.

Also, there should be a thread that memorializes the trolls that have come through WAYWRN. I can remember that gangster rapper...I miss him dearly[IMG]
