A bit of fun for my Cities class today - this class is on Manhattan in the 1920s and 30s, so the outfit has various nods to the period although it's not strictly accurate. Bold patterned, heavyweight 3-piece suit (the lapels would have been significantly wider in the 30s of course), reproduction needle-collar shirt with pin (and sleeve garters) and actual period enamel cufflinks, fedora, pocket watch & chain. Oh, and close shave with moustache only. In sepia, of course...

Sorry bro . There's a difference between critique and looking down upon. Buying your clothes thifted or "vintage" and saying there's something wrong with that is just being looked down upon. He didn't explain why except of the way you purchased it. But if you're going to take that without qualm I hope you don't live your daily life this way amongst some of these elitist people. Besides this is a classic men's forum so i think your vintage is more in place compare to "tailored clothing" that most are wearing here. What is classic anyway? It is very broad. Sack suits, 90s loose fit suits, heck bell bottoms are classics butbyou show up with that here people would clown you. I think what the people here think is right is the one appropriate which in your case you're a pawn cause you allow these people to tell you they're right and youre wrong. K. Rant over...

Well I thought you would have a better come back than that.most of the people here are pretty vocal about their " knowledge" of fine men's clothing. I would like to hear their "feedback" or "advice".

I think you are the only one concerned with comebacks. I'm sorry man, It's time to ignore you. I'm sorry you felt insulted. You should grow a thicker skin. Bye.

I love this fabric (two jackets almost in a row for me!). Would you mind passing along any details of the jacket (if you have any)?
    Thanks!

[IMG] By the way this is what i was wearing while dancing waltz from an undisclosed location with a few ladies that seem to like what I'm wearing. The impeccable tailoring was so perfect with the sway of my dance moves along with the orchestra playing on the background. And sorry about the quality of the pics. I don't take selfies. I try to capture the moment naturally to show what I'm wearing in a particular day. Or I have people take my pictures or someone takes mine randomly. ;)
