Another jacket from my trip to the vintage store. I wonder if I ought to have gone with a white shirt here.

Nice and clean, especially the back. I just would have gone with different shoes, less would have been better in this context imo. Just a plain suede oxford in the same brown as the tie would have been quiet sophistication.
Shoes are nice. :slayer: Did I say that already? ;)
Blue on blue rarely works really well in my eyes, this is no exception. It is by no means a bad fit of course, but I think with a brown ground tie this would have been better.
Light blue is perfect in my eyes. White would have worked color-wise but would probably have looked too formal. A white/blue stripe could be the solution.

Thanks for the insight. I have a few white/blue striped shirts but I feared wearing them for looking to "busy" with this kind of jacket.

I can see what you mean. I usually use this tie with other jackets but put it on first and then picked the jacket. I will change jacket or tie for the evening.

I think that coat might be a bit too disco for a pinpoint BD and a knitted tie. I think it might need a simple stripe, or a matte woven solid, to balance out its width.

Also, you seem to wear a lot of pinpoint BDs with tweed. I do oxford under those circumstances. Are you just not an oxford cloth man, or would you consider it?

The only thing wrong with this is the gorge is too high, IMO. Fucking spot on, man! [IMG]

To be honest, the pinpoints are just what I happened to grab. I have a lot of OCBDs but I guess coincidence prevented me from grabbing one, perhaps I should pay more attention next time! Your points are all well taken and it gives me some ideas on how to wear this jacket better. It's a bit out of my comfort zone, as seems apparent to all. lol
