I wanted to wear my blue OCBD, but it was dirty. [IMG] I thought the denim shirt matched the country/casual nature of the jacket and vest. Several people didn't like my shirt yesterday. I'll get it right one of these days.

I wish SF had a weighted thumb system. A Stitchy thumb for me is worth like 10 thumbs. A Pliny thumb on any of my outfits should guarantee me a place in the 20+ composite thread.

Country wise I think it works, color wise its too saturated for me, and I dont love a denim shirt with a jacket and tie in general.

Fwiw, I dont recall having an issue with teh shirt yesterday, but admittedly I was behind and skimmed a bit in my catching up.

The old chestnut is true all too often though. I'm a department chair and I deal with it daily. Glad you wont be joining those ranks, however.

Not convinced about this combination. I am on the road , and this is all that I packed.

I like the colors so it gets a thumb. If the tie were solid I would be all in.

    Sincere congratulations on getting tenure.

And welcome to a whole new world of endless committee meetings and mind-numbing administrative work which will consume all your time and suck the very soul from your body …

I liked the shirt. If you are going to go, go all the way. Wait, you only own one blue OCBD? That is nearly the only thing in my closet.

“The juvenile sea squirt wanders through the sea searching for a suitable rock or hunk of coral to cling to and make its home for life. When it finds this spot and takes root, it doesn’t need its brain anymore, so it eats it! (It’s rather like getting tenure).”

I own two. One is a 14.5/33 and the other is a 15/34. I only wear the smaller one without a tie as it's tight in the neck. The small one is actually clean.
