I thrifted the jacket from our own Dirnelli. It is bespoke by French tailors Cifonell and judging from the marking inside it was made in December 1984 - I find it pretty awesome to wear a jacket that it almost 30 years old.

Love the jacket. Love the tie (wool, right?).
Not sure I'm loving them together, for some reason....

Yes it was below freezing this morning. And yes I wore linen. That's what overcoats are for.

Cotton Dockers: Such a clean, city rig, with a shirt that has white in the pattern, cries out in my mind for a white linen square.

You are probably right, although I do try to challenge myself to find something other than white linen/cream silk and see if I can make it work.

now THAT is how it is done-- very sharp, man! shirt and tie in particular are an excellent combo in my opinion, shoes are not stubby in the least nor stretched open at the throat. yup!

Thanks, Foxx!

Pingson, Pliny - great jackets from both of you guys. FWIW, I don't think that SC needs any alterations whatsoever, Pingson.

Help me! I insisted upon wearing a tie but had little time to think things through...

Emphasis on "little time".

Shirt is pale blue. I don't want any of you white-shirt haters to get your knickers in a twist.

top block, jacket/tie/shirt look great, not sure on PS. cant tell enough about bottom block to comment much, but i think with that fit a darker brown shoe is called for.

SB, nice. would be better with white shirt.
